WORK SESSION

March 23, 2022

 

 

The Clayton Ridge Board of Directors held a Work Session on March 23, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. in the Elementary Library, Garnavillo.

 

Members in attendance were John Heying, Christine Aulwes, Jessica Bittner, Alicia Helle, Ellen Johnson, Mike Finnegan, and Jason Reimer.

 

Staff present were Superintendent Shane Wahls and Board Secretary David Schlueter.

SPECIAL MEETING

March 23, 2022

 

The Clayton Ridge Board of Directors held a special meeting on March 23, 2022 at 6:50 p.m. in the Elementary Library, Garnavillo.

 

Call to Order/Roll Call

President Heying called the meeting to order at 6:50 PM.  Other members in attendance were Aulwes, Bittner, Helle, Johnson, Finnegan, and Reimer.

 

Also in attendance were Wahls and Schlueter.

 

Approval of Agenda

Motion by Finnegan and second by Helle to approve the agenda, adding Item 4. Out of State Travel.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

 

New Business

  1. Employment

Motion by Finnegan and second by Bittner to hire: Second grade Teacher Makenzie Farmer, Preschool Teacher Savannah Domeyer, Assistant Coach-Softball Sierra Palmer, and Assistant Coach-Football Brandon Wahls. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Motion by Helle and second by Johnson to accept resignations of Shelby Landt as Bus Driver/Shuttle Bus Driver and Valeria White as High School Play Director. Motion carried unanimously.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Resolutions – Retention Bonuses
  2. Teachers

Motion by Reimer and second by Aulwes to adopt a resolution to pay all active, contracted certified teachers (excluding Supplemental Pay Contracted employees and teachers eligible for governor’s retention incentive) a $1000 retention bonus to be paid from federal ESSER funds for pandemic relief. Motion carried unanimously.

 

  1. Other Staff

Motion by Aulwes and second by Bittner to adopt a resolution to pay all active, contracted employees (excluding Supplemental Pay Contracted employees and teachers) a $1000 retention bonus to be paid from federal ESSER funds for pandemic relief. Motion carried unanimously.

 

  1. Approve FSA Flex Contract

Motion by Aulwes and second by Reimer to approve BASE as the administrator of the district’s FSA Flex program for 2022-23. Motion carried unanimously.

 

  1. Approve out of state travel

Motion by Reimer and second by Helle to approve transportation requests from the High School Student Senate and the 8th grade class trips to Wisconsin Dells. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Helle and second by Aulwes to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
