BOARD OF DIRECTORS PUBLIC HEARING & SPECIAL MEETING

The Clayton Ridge Board of Directors held a public hearing with a special meeting to follow on May 21, 2025 in the High School Library, Guttenberg.
Public Hearing
A public hearing on a proposed FY25 Budget Amendment was opened at 5:30 pm.
Board Secretary / Business Manager Logan Taylor presented the proposed FY25 budget amendment.
There were no additional comments from the public.
The public hearing closed at 5:35 pm.
Call to Order/Roll Call
President Jessica Bittner called the meeting to order at 5:35 PM. Other members in attendance were Mike Finnegan, Ellen Johnson, Dan Kregel, and Shelly Mommer. Sam Brandt and TJ Pierce were absent.
Also in attendance were Superintendent Shane Wahls and Board Secretary / Business Manager Logan.
There were 5 employees and guests present.
Welcome & Public Forum
Public comment was given by 1 community member: Brian Rodenberg.
Approval of Agenda
Two additional hires were added to Item 1. Hires – K-8 Art Teacher and Teacher’s Associate. Motion by Finnegan and second by Mommer to approve the agenda as amended. Motion carried unanimously.
New Business

Motion by Mommer and second by Finnegan to approve the following resignations and hires:
Resignations
- Skyler Soppe – Elementary Special Education Teacher
- Megan Livingston – Girls Junior High Basketball Coach
Hires
- Elly Meyer – 3rd Grade Teacher
- Megan Livingston –Varsity Girls Basketball Coach
- Chad Connelly – Assistant Varsity Boys Basketball Coach
- Angel Flack – K-8 Art Teacher
- Jessica Hillers – Teacher’s Associate
Motion carried unanimously.
- FY25 Budget Amendment
Motion by Kregel and second by Johnson to approve the FY25 Budget Amendment as presented. The total budget increase was $1,045,000. Motion carried unanimously.
- Air Handler / Condenser Quotes
Motion by Finnegan and second by Mommer to approve a quote received from Advantage Sheet Metal for the purchase of three condensers / air handlers for the MS / HS buildings. The total quote amount is $21,425. Motion carried unanimously.
- Contracts
Motion by Mommer and second by Kregel to:
- Ratify the CREA Master Contract
- Approve the Certified Employee Handbook
- Issue individual contracts to certified employees and supplemental/extracurricular employees as listed
- Ratify the CRESPA Master Contract
- Approve the Support Personnel Handbook
- Issue individual contracts to support employees as listed
- Issue contracts to non-org employees as listed
Motion carried unanimously.
- 2025-26 Insurance Quotes
Motion by Finnegan and second by Kregel to approve 2025-26 insurance / renewal quotes received from Tujetsch Insurance (coverage from EMC, Jester, Missouri Employers Mutual) totaling $163,190.66. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Kregel and second by Mommer to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
