GUTTENBERG, IA – The Clayton Ridge Community School District Board of School Directors has selected two finalists for the district’s next superintendent. The finalists are Jay Marley and Mindy Reimer.

Board members worked with Grundmeyer Leader Services to assist with the search and review all qualified candidates.

Marley is the current shared superintendent of the Nashua-Plainfield Community School District and the Tripoli Community School District in Nashua and Tripoli, Iowa, respectively. He serves roughly 1,000 students as the joint leader of both districts, and has been Tripoli CSD’s superintendent for over seven years. Marley prides himself on his ability to build relationships with students, teachers, and parents in rural districts like Clayton Ridge CSD.

Reimer has served as director of media services at the Central Rivers Area Education Agency and as a media administrator for the Keystone AEA. In both roles, she has filled a pivotal role in these organizations’ outreach efforts and connected districts in multiple Iowa regions to invaluable resources that provide students with equal educational opportunities.

In addition to working as a media administrator, Reimer has 26 years of teaching and education leadership experience.

As a next step, the board and interview teams will conduct formal interviews with the finalists on Wednesday, April 8. The board will make a final decision shortly after concluding the interview process.

The next superintendent will begin leading Clayton Ridge CSD effective July 1, 2026.
