SPECIAL MEETING & WORK SESSION
February 5, 2026
The Clayton Ridge Board of Directors held a special meeting and work session on February 5, 2026 at 7:03 am in the High School Conference Room, Guttenberg.
Call to Order/Roll Call
President Jessica Bittner called the meeting to order at 7:03 AM. Other members in attendance were Sam Brandt, Mike Finnegan, Ellen Johnson, Dan Kregel. Shelly Mommer and TJ Pierce were absent.
Also in attendance were Superintendent Shane Wahls and Board Secretary Logan Taylor.
There were 2 other guests present.
Approval of Agenda
The posted agenda was amended to add two additional Junior High Football Coach hires. Motion by Johnson and second by Finnegan to approve the agenda as amended.
New Business
- Employment
Motion by Brandt and second by Finnegan to approve the following hires and retirement:
Hires
- Aydan Millard – Custodian
- Cynthia Lancial – MS Teacher
- Kelsey Bries – Assistant Softball Coach
- Amyra Millard – Assistant Softball Coach
- Audrey Ostrander – Assistant Softball Coach
- Kylie Bolsinger – JH Football Coach
- Kyle Burns – JH Football Coach
Retirements
- Shane Wahls – Superintendent, effective June 30, 2026.
Motion carried unanimously.
- Approve Soccer Sharing Agreement
Motion by Brandt and second by Johnson to approve a HS Girl’s Soccer sharing agreement with Edgewood-Colesburg CSD for the 2025-26 school year. Motion carried unanimously.
Work Session
- Continued Review of Superintendent Search Proposals
The Board held a Work Session to continue reviewing Superintendent search proposals received. Board discussion was held regarding the pros and cons of both proposals received.
TJ Pierce arrived at 7:47 AM.
Adjournment
Motion by Kregel and second by Finnegan to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
